Electronic Visa (e-Visa): The applicant can obtain her/his visa after s/he fill in the necessary information concerning her/his identity, passport and travel dates and pay visa fee online in approximately 3 minutes. e-visa is only valid when the purpose of travel is tourism or commerce. For other purposes such as work and study, visas are given by Turkish missions. Besides the applicant can check if s/he is eligible for e-Visa by clicking “Main Page > Apply” and selecting your country/region of travel document.
Turkish Residence Permit: According to the Law on Foreigners and International Protection No. 6458, a residence permit document shall stand for the permit issued for the purpose of staying in Turkey. This document granted by competent authorities entitles the right to reside in a specific location in Turkey for a given period of time. Residence permit does not allow the holder to work in Turkey.
Turkish Work Permit: To work in Turkey, foreigners must apply to the nearest Turkish mission in the country of their residence or nationality to obtain work visa. Her/his employer in Turkey should submit necessary documents to the Turkish Ministry of Labour, Social Services and Family to obtain work permit. Work Permit Applications are concluded positively or negatively by the Ministry. Work permits substitutes for a residence permit within its validity. Thus, should a working permit is approved by the Ministry, the foreigner is charged an Entry Visa Fee, Work Permit Certificate Fee and Residence Fee by the Turkish consular offices.
